The Old House is a 16th Century listed building

Whilst we have made every effort to provide facilities for all there are some things that cannot be implemented due the nature of the building or planning permission.

Inspection by the local council resulted in their conclusion that it would be impractical to make the major structural modifications necessary to make the building wheelchair accessible. It would be more practical to make improvements to make the building as accessible as possible for the ambulant disabled.

The following information is provided to assist in your understanding of our facilities.

Rooms

• Three rooms, one ground floor, two up a short flight of stairs with a 90 degree turning halfway.
• The ground floor room has its own access direct from the garden over a lip of one inch, there is a further step into the room from the hallway of 2 inches.
• The upstairs rooms are unsuitable for wheelchair access.

Bathrooms

• There are two guest bathrooms, both with toilet.
• The ground floor room is en-suite with a separate shower but with narrow access and turning room.
• The upstairs bathroom has a bath and shower combined with grab rails.

Gardens

• The gardens features paved areas & fine lawns with navigable slopes and paved patio areas.
